Characteristics

Rosette leaves 3–6, ovate, 3–20 x 2–7mm, thin-textured, dark green, margins entire. Flower stem 100–30  tall, very thin, with 5–7 stem leaves to 30 x 5mm. Flower erect, brittle, 12–15 x 6–8mm, white with dark green stripes and markings. Dorsal sepal tip filiform, 10–1  long. Sinus bulging like platform in side view, U-shaped in front view. Free points filiform, 20–2  long, erect or somewhat lax. Labellum shallowly curved, protruding prominently from sinus when set, 6–8 x 2mm, dark brown, narrowed near apex.

Environment

Highly localised in small, fragmented, isolated populations and restricted to habitat known as Swamp Scrub which consists of dense tall thickets of woolly teatree and scented paperbark developed in swampy areas, springs and around small, sluggish streams in seasonally wet or permanently wet black alkaline mud; in some areas overlying limestone.
