Characteristics

Rosette leaves 4–7, oblong or ovate, 5–25 x 3–9 mm. Flower stem 50–20  tall, 1–1.  across, 1–5-flowered. Sterile bracts 2–4. Flowers porrect, 26–30 x 5–8mm, hood transparent with light brown markings, lateral sepals wholly light brown. Dorsal sepal point, filamentous, 7–1  long, upcurved. Lateral sepals deflexed, sometimes reflexed back towards ovary, wider than hood, flat to shallowly concave, margins incurved, glabrous or sparsely hairy; free points filamentous, 15–2  long, divergent. Petals with large basal flanges that do not meet, 9–11 x 2.5–  wide. Labellum oblong, tapered to apex, 3–4 x 1.6–2mm, red-brown; marginal bristles projecting forwards, 10–16 to   long; basal lobe about as wide and as thick as blade, without bristles.
