Characteristics

Plants erect, to 180 mm; leaves clustered basally, narrowly elliptic, acute to subacute, to 60 x 10 mm. Inflorescences fairly dense, to c. 60 mm long, 2-numerous-flowered; bracts ovate-acute. Flowers c. 24 x 15 mm, pale greenish-yellow; ovaries c. 14 mm long; scent strong, sweet. Median sepal narrowly elliptic, acute, 7-11 x 2-3 mm, adnate to the petals; lateral sepals spreading to reflexed, suboblique, acute, 9-10 x 3 mm. Petals subdeltate, outer margin crenulate, 7-10 x 6-7 mm. Lip with 2 broad, diverging, erose-tipped lobes, 5-7 x 2-5 mm, and a small pointed midlobe c. 1.5 mm long; appendage spathulate, 6-8 x 3 mm, with a hooding gland apically. Stigma at the base of the lip appendage posteriorly; rostellum c. 1 mm tall, arms c. 2 mm long.
