Characteristics

Plants slender, to 340 mm; leaves 2-4, oblong-lanceolate, subacuminate, to 120 x 30 mm. Inflorescences lax, to 100 mm, 1-14-flowered; bracts elliptic-acute, c. 12-18 x 6 mm. Flowers c. 25 x 15 mm, facing down slightly, sepals green, petals and lip yellowish-green, sometimes flushed red; scent strong and pungent; ovaries c. 15 mm. Median sepal saccate, acuminate, 9-10 x 3.5-4 mm, adnate to the petals; lateral sepals spreading, saccate, acuminate, 7-13 x 4-5 mm. Petals almost quadrate, shallowly concave, 9-12 x 9 mm. Lip deltate, flat, 4-6 x 2.5-3 mm long; appendage erect, triangular-acuminate, denticulate and curved forward apically, 6-11 x 4 mm. Stigma lobes ovate, at the base of the lip appendage posteriorly; rostellum c. 2 mm tall, arms c. 2 mm long.

Lip deltate, flat, 4-6 x 3 mm, appendage erect, triangular, denticulate, curved forward, 6-11 x 4 mm. Flowering time Sept.-Nov.
Like P. acutifolium but flowers with yellowish green sepals and lip, often flushed red and apex of lip appendage denticulate.
