Characteristics

Plants erect, to 500 mm; leaves 6-numerous, obscuring the stem, lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, acute to acuminate, to 180 x 35 mm. Inflorescences to c. 220 mm, many-flowered; bracts broadly ovate-acute, 18-27 x 8-14 mm. Flowers c. 30 x 15 mm, mostly green, lip densely spotted dark purple. Median sepal narrowly to broadly elliptic, subtruncate, 7-10 x 3-4 mm, adnate to the petals; lateral sepals reflexed, lanceolate, acute, saccate, 10-13 x 2-3 mm. Petals rotund, shallowly concave, 8-14 x 6-10 mm. Lip broadly obovate, emarginate, 4-6 x 4-8 mm; appendage mitreshaped, 6-8 x 4-5 mm, with 2 keels basally. Stigma lobes elliptic, c. 2 mm long, behind lip apªpendage; rostellum c. 2 mm tall, arms c. 3 mm long.
