Characteristics

Plants fairly robust, to 550 mm tall; leaves 6 to numerous, large, lanceolate, to 200 x 40 mm. Inflorescences dense, to c. 220 mm long, numerous-flowered; bracts broadly elliptic, acute, 16-28 x 6-10 mm. Flowers c. 25 x 12 mm, pale green; ovaries twisted through 360°, c. 18 mm long. Median sepal oblong-elliptic, subtruncate, 8-9 x 2.5 mm, adnate to the petals; lateral sepals narrowly saccate, acute, 8-10 x 3 mm. Petals carnose, rotund, shallowly concave, 8-12 x 5-8 mm. Lip rounded, 3-4 x 3-4 mm; appendage ovate-oblong, 4-5 x 3-4 mm, distincdy bilobed apically and with 2 projections basally. Stigma lobes c. 2 mm long, behind lip appendage; rostellum c. 1 mm tall; arms c. 2 mm long.
