Characteristics

Plants erect, slender, to 200 mm; leaves cauline, 1-3, oblong-lanceolate, acute, to 80 x 25 mm. Inflorescences lax, to 80 mm long, 4-8-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acute, to 27 x 8 mm. Flowers c. 25 x 15 mm, pale green; soapy scented. Median sepal narrowly oblong, acute to rounded, 8-10 x 3 mm, adnate to the petals; lateral sepals spreading, saccate, subacute to acute, 9-11 x 4-6 mm. Petals oblique, acute, outer margin crenulate, 10-11 x 6 mm. Lip 5-7 x 14 mm, with 2 diverging, sub-erose, rotund lobes c. 4.5 mm in diameter, rarely with a minute tooth between them; appendage erect, fleshy, broad, 3-lobed apically, 4x4 mm. Stigma lobes at the base of the lip appendage posteriorly, c. 1 mm long; rostellum c. 1 mm tall, arms c. 2 mm long.
