Characteristics

Plants slender, 90-300 mm tall; leaves (2) 3, the largest basal, lorate to narrowly ovate, obtuse, 80-150 x 25-40 mm, the upper leaves narrower, tapering towards the apex and acute. Inflorescences erect, laxly 8-15-flowered; bracts deflexed, narrowly ovate, acute, 5-15 mm long. Flowers strongly sweet-scented, sepals lime-green, petals and lip white; ovaries c. 10 mm long. Sepals unequal; median erect, lorate to narrowly obovate, acute, adnate to the petals, 6-7 x 1.5-2.5 mm; laterals spreading to reflexed, ovate, acute, 5.5-6.5 x 4-4.5 mm. Petals bilobed, axe-shaped; blade and posterior lobe straight, lorate, acute, 7-8 mm long; anterior lobe flabellate, 4.5-6 mm in diameter. Lip 3-lobed, pendent; midlobe narrowly triangular, acute, 3-4 mm long; side lobes flabellate, patent, margins subcrenate, 3-4 mm in diameter, basal callosities less than 1 mm long; appendage erect, cup-shaped, narrowly stalked, obliquely crateri-form. Gynostemium with anther erect, connective and rostellum much elongated, stigma bilobed.
