Cultivation

Origin: in Porterville, Calif., by R.J. Owen. Plant patent 3883; 11 May 1976. Bud mutation of Wonderful. Tree: identical to Wonderful. Fruit: resembles Wonderful, distinguished by brighter red color of its blossoms, earlier coloring, and larger size of its fruit, and pulp that is more tart and has an acid taste; ripens the last week in September and first week in October, or 2 weeks after Wonderful and 6 weeks later than the Granada variety.
