Characteristics

Leaves opposite, or mostly in whorls of 3 or 4, petiolate; blade obovate to obovate-oblong or elliptic, up to 120 x 45 mm, apex rounded or acute, glabrous. Flowers: inflorescences borne in the lower axils, few to many flowered; corolla with tube 3-4 mm long, lobes narrowly oblong-ovate, 4-5 mm long, white or greenish; Sep.-Nov. Fruit oblong, subglobose or pyriform, up to 30 x 20 mm.
