Characteristics

Leaves 2 or 3, overlapping in a tight rosette, ovate, ground-hugging, 35–70 × 20–35 mm, fleshy, pale green. Flower stem 100–300 mm tall, stiff, 1–7-flowered. Flowers 15–20 × 25–35 mm, pink and white, sometimes wholly white or spotted with crimson. Dorsal sepal narrowly obovate, 17–20 × 7–8 mm, hooding column. Lateral sepals narrowly obovate, 17–19 × 3 mm, arching or erect at base then decurved, divergent. Petals narrowly obovate, 18–20 × 3–4 mm, arching or erect at base then decurved. Labellum obovate, 13–16 × 7–8 mm, base obliquely erect then gently curved, pink with conspicuous red bars; lateral lobes large, erect beside column, finely toothed; midlobe short, recurved. Callus a narrow central plate with numerous sessile calli in lines coinciding with red bars. Column incurved, 10–11 × 3–3.5 mm, white to pink.
