Leaf-blades remaining green or turning greyish or inky when dry, elliptic, 5–10 cm. long, 1.8–2.3 cm. wide, acuminate at apex, acute at base, papery; lateral nerves in ± 5 main pairs; tertiary nerves obscure or drying discolorous on young leaves; domatia present as small glabrous or ciliate pits, obscure or sometimes absent; petioles 2–3 mm. long; stipules linear-triangular, 7–8 mm. long, shortly connate at base, seldom persisting beyond top two nodes..
