Leaves numerous, distichous; lamina 3.5–12 × 1–2.3 cm, ligulate or narrowly oblong, conduplicate, unequally and roundly 2-lobed at apex, articulated to imbricate leaf bases, coriaceous.
Lip 10–24 × 5–11 mm, rather obscurely 3-lobed about midway; side lobes rounded, mid-lobe 5–10.5 × 2.3–3.8 mm, lanceolate, acute; spur 7.5–16 cm long, pendent, slender.
Flowers white, fading to yellowish, the outside of sepals and the spur greenish; diurnally scented; very variable in size.
Robust epiphytic or lithophytic herb, erect or pendent, often forming large clumps.
Stems up to 45 cm long, occasionally branched, covered with old leaf bases.
Inflorescences 6–9 cm long, spreading, 5–13-flowered.
Column 4.5–5 mm long; stipes bifid, each lobe linear.
Sepals and petals lanceolate, acuminate, spreading.
Pedicel and ovary scabrid, 2–3 cm long.
Roots stout, 3–4 mm in diameter.
