Stamens 4, staminode present, inserted on corolla-tube; filaments long, slender; anthers cruciately paired. Disk small, annular. Ovary superior, ovoid; style filiform; stigma 2-lobed. Capsule ovoid, acuminate, 2-valved; valves 2-fid, separating from placentae. Seeds minute, ∞. Genus with 1 known sp. endemic to N.Z.
