Humile compactum; caulis apice 1 cm. diam.; rami primarii ad 4 mm. diam.; ramuli hornotini 4-6-foIiati; folia adscendentia vel erecta, duo paris inaequalia, supra visa late spathu-lata, dimidio inferiore quadra to, superiore interdum obliquo vel saepe scmiorbieulari lateraliterque viso dilatato ad 6-7 mm. diam., dorso convexa, rarius integra, saepius obscure denticulata vel superiora 1-3-denticulata vel 1-3-lobulata, ad 2 cm. longa, vagina 2 mm., ad 1-2 cm. lata: pedunculus 1-4 cm. longus, apice 4 mm. diam.; bracteae (vel folia suprema) supra visae superne leviter dilatatae, acutae, grosse 1-3-dentatae; receptaculum globose turbinatum, 6 mm. longum, ad 9 mm. diam.; sepala 5, obtusa, exteriora superne obtuse carinata, 7-8 mm. longa, basi 4-5 mm. lata; petala baud bene visa, ut videtur 1-seriata, saepe acuta, lutea, apice rubra, 8 mm. longa, 0-75 mm. lata; filamenta inferne pallida, superne lutea, basi obscure papillata, ad 7 mm. longa; glandulae contiguae magnae, fere semicirculatae, crenulatae, interne concavae, luteo virides; ovarium valde concavum, lobis leviter convex is: stigmata 5, gracilia, superne angustata, 7-5 mm. longa.
