Rhombophyllum albanense (L.Bolus) H.E.K.Hartmann

Caespitose shrubs to 10 cm high, to 30 cm Ø, internodes light grey with age, with scars of the old leaf bases, basally to 12 mm Ø; leaves trigonous, smooth, keel a little rounded, to 15 mm long, at most to 3 mm broad and Ø; flowers solitary, 10-15 mm Ø, filaments white, anthers yellow, nectar glands blackish-green; fruit base funnel-shaped, top with high rims, otherwise flat, covering membranes complete, closing body consisting of two halves protruding well under the covering membranes, expanding keels widely diverging, valve wings broadening from a narrow distal part to a broader base, often adorned by a pronounced tip, fruit c. 5 mm Ø.
