Characteristics

Sprawling, resprouting shrublet or dwarf shrub, up to 0.3 m high, much-branched from a thick, woody rootstock; internodes short giving a leafy appearance. Leaves pinnately trifoliolate. Leaflets elliptic, elliptic-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate, silky hairy. Inflorescence a few-flowered raceme, shorter than leaves, terminal. Flowers yellow. Flowering time Oct.-Mar., May, June. Pod flat, ovate, long-pilose.
