Characteristics

Leaflets 3, 1.3–3 × 0.8–2.5 cm, ovate, obovate, ± rhombic or almost round, the laterals ± oblique, rounded and very shortly apiculate at the apex, rounded or obtusely angled at the base, densely shortly appressed pubescent on both surfaces; venation prominent and reticulate on both surfaces but particularly beneath where main venation often dries reddish; petiole 5–15 mm long; rhachis 1–8 mm long; stipules c. 3–4 × 0.8–1 mm, narrowly triangular-lanceolate, hairy outside.
