Characteristics

Prostrate or scrambling herb, thinly pubescent, becoming glabrescent with age. Leaves pinnately trifoliolate, petioles 10-20 mm long; stipules ovate, 1.5-3 x 0.5-2 mm, pubescent and glandular-dotted; leaflets lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, sometimes elliptic,15-25(40) x 2-6 mm, glabrescent, glandular-dotted beneath. Inflorescences axillary racemes; peduncles longer than leaves, 20-50(80) mm long, with 4-10 flowers near the apex, flowers (6)8-10 mm long; bracts elliptic or lanceolate, 2.5-3.0 x 0.5-1.0 mm, pubescent. Calyx pubescent, glandular-dotted; upper lobes 5-6 mm long, lower lobe 5-6 mm long, laterals 7-8 mm long. Corolla yellow; standard suborbicular 6-7 x 5-6 mm, slightly emarginate, glabrous, with two callosities at base, claw 3-4 mm long; wings slightly longer than keel, 5-6 x 2-3 mm, spurred at base, with sculpturing, claw 4-5 mm long; keel 4-5 x 2-3 mm, pocketed, claw 4-5 mm long. Ovary narrowly oblong, subsessile, pubescent, 2-ovuled; style curved upwards, glabrous. Fruit broadly oblong, short, 8-12 mm 4-6 mm, pubescent and glandular-dotted, 1-seeded.
