Leaf-lamina oblanceolate to oblong or obovate, 8–25(–30) cm. long, 3–8.5 cm. wide, subrounded to cuneate at the base, abruptly to ± gradually acuminate at the apex, glabrous or with a few hairs on the midrib above, generally pubescent on the midrib and lateral veins beneath, often only sparsely so, margin serrate to serrate-dentate, subentire towards the base, lateral veins 12–17 pairs; petiole 0.8–5.3 cm. long, pubescent, rarely subglabrous..
