Characteristics

Annual or ephemeral herb to 30 cm tall, decumbent to ascending, much-branched from base, glabrous or papillose. Leaves petiolate, pinnatisect to bipinnatisect, mostly to 6 cm long, with 3–9 pairs of coarsely dentate lobes. Sepals 3 mm long. Petals 2 mm long, white. Stamens 4. Style up to 1.5 mm long. Siliqua linear, 15–30 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, straight, spreading; valves without midrib; pedicels spreading, 2–6 mm long. Seeds ovoid, to 0.75 mm long, spongy, not reticulate, in 1 to 2 rows per locule, mucous.
