Characteristics

Perennial to 40 cm tall, ascending to erect. Leaves chiefly basal, petiolate, linear-lanceolate or rarely obovate-oblong, pinnatifid with few narrow lobes, or dentate or entire, mostly to 8 cm long; marginal hairs present; cauline leaves few and narrow. Sepals 2–3 mm long. Petals 4–5 mm long, white. Stamens 4. Style to 2 mm long. Siliqua linear, 15–40 mm long, 1.5–2 mm wide, straight, erect to spreading; valves with inconspicuous midrib fading above; pedicels spreading, 5–40 mm long. Seeds ovoid, compressed, slightly winged 0.7–1.5 mm long, spongy, not reticulate, sticky to mucous when wet.
