NH R7 [Durham × NH 102 (dwarf F2 seedling × Taylor)] × N.Y. 287 [N.Y. 18810 (Marcy × Indian Summer) × N.Y. 20990 (Rubus strigosus selection); cross made in mid-1950s; selected in 1960, tested as NH 64-3; introd. in 1973. Tree: short, erect; primocanes often branched; precocious bearing; moderate productivity; needs nitrogen fertilization; winter hardy. Fruit: medium; roundelongated; bright, attractive red; good flavor, soft; ripens late July to August on primocanes.
