In 1973. Tree: vigorous, relatively upright floricanes with secondary buds; spines; adapted to relatively poor soil conditions; adapted to cooler temperatures. Moderately susceptible to spur blight; tolerance to viruses. Fruit: large; red; firm; truncate-conic shape; pleasant sweet-acid flavor; easy to harvest; ripens later than Willamette; suited to fresh market and to processing.
