Cultivation

Origin: in Watsonville, Calif., by S. Wilhelm. Sweetbriar × Reiter E4720; introd. in 1992. Plant patent 8027; assigned to Sweetbriar Development. Tree: moderate vigor with production equally split between primocane and floricane crop; some resistance to powdery mildew and to late leaf rust. Fruit: medium size; light red, glossy; separates easily from receptacle; floricane production about 1 May and primocane production about 20 July in central coastal California.
