A high-yielding, late-ripening raspberry adapted to western Europe. Origin: in Kapelle, The Netherlands, by J. Westveer. Probably an open-pollinated seedling of Jochems Roem; selected in 1973; introd. in 1990. Licensed by E.C. Meulbloc Boomkwekerij, 4434 AG Kwadendamme Zeeland, Netherlands. Tree: high yield; vigorous, strong canes with high density of spines; relatively few primocanes. Probably has some resistance to cane diseases and to Phytophthora root rot. Fruit: large, bright medium to dark red; firm; conic shape; moderately easy to harvest; good flavor; ripens a few days later than Schonemann; some resistance to Botrytis rot.
