Origin: in Durham, N.H., by A.F. Yeager and E.M. Meader, New Hampshire Agr. Expt. Sta. Second generation seedling of 'Taylor' × Rubus pugens oldhami; introd. in 1979. Tested as NH TXP15; selected in 1964; introd. in 1979. Tree: winter hardy, vigorous, productive, suckers sparingly, propagated by regeneration from roots left in ground when dug or transplanted. Fruit: medium size, bright red, tart, pleasant flavor, ripens early; large drupelets; easily separated from distinctive yellow or orange receptacle when fully ripe.
