Origin: in Njos, Norway, State Expt. Sta. Asker × Lloyd George; introd. in 1961. Tree: productive; medium number of erect canes with moderate growth; canes dull, not waxy, light green with a little red in autumn and redbrown in winter; cane tips not pubescent; spines few, except on young canes; easy to manage; moderately winter hardy. Susceptible to cane Botrytis. Fruit: large; conic; dark red, medium bright to dull; large drupelets, soft but not crumbly; early to midseason ripening; acidic flavor; processing use.
