Characteristics

Dwarf shrub, succulent, up to 0.7 m high; spinescent. Stems with spines and younger stems reddish to dark brown. Leaves 12-30 mm long, surface even, epidermis cells convex. Flowers: petal colour unknown; Dec.-Feb. Fruit 5-locular.
