Characteristics

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.5 m high, stems ascending to prostrate. Leaves trigonous, margins cartilaginous, punctate, apex recurved. Flowers solitary, pink. Flowering time Oct. Capsules 5-locular, covering membranes complete with closing ledges, closing body hook-shaped, expanding keels distant at their bases.
