Characteristics

Frutex 1-3.5 m altus valde lignosus truncis usque ad 15 cm crassis cortice rimoso cinereo; rami crispi-pilosi, ramulis floriferis brevibus ± dense obsiti. Folia 1 mm longa et lata, latissime ovata, basi auriculata et late calcarata, membranacei-marginata, dorso pilis brevibus appressis obtecta, carnosa, in statu siccotorosi-carinata. Bracteae et bracteolae similes, aliquantum maiores quam folia, minus auriculatae sed magis carinatae, ut folia pilis brevibus appressis obtectae. Flores solitarii, conferti vel breviter distantes, basi fasciculum pilorum longorum gerentes; perianthium pilis brevibus appressis obtectum, lobi ante alas firmi, triangulares, 2 mm longi, basi 1.5 mm lati, margine late hyalini, parte medio triangulari viridi, conice conniventes; tubus sub alis carinatus, basi polygona sessilis; alae inaequales, flabellatae vel ± orbiculares, crenati-dentatae, minute striatae; flores alis inclusis 5-8 mm diametro. Stylus 1 mm longus, firmus; stigmata 2, 0.75 mm longa, late linguiformia. Antherae 1.3 mm longae, 0.5 mm latae, loculi angusti, lanceolati, plus quam dimidio liberti; connectivum appendice parva orbiculata. Semen horizontale.
