Characteristics

Plants slender, (120-) 150-280 (-420) mm tall; leaves usually 2, spreading near the ground, ovate, 20-100 mm long. Inflorescences dense, (6-) 10-19 (-43)-flowered; bracts deflexed, distally minutely ciliate, 1.3-2 times the length of the 7-11 mm long ovary. Flowers pale cream tinged green, pink or brownish. Sepals and petals fused in their basal 'A to the lip, forming a loose tube that continues for half their remaining length, then curved down, sepals oblong-acute, 6-9 mm long, petals slightly smaller. Lip spurs 12-26 mm long. Stigma flap broadly oval, 1-1.5 mm long; rostellum c. 1 mm long, with 2 adjacent arms.
