Bulbi ellipsoidei, 2 ad 3 cm longi, 2 cm crassi, folia 2 humistrata subopposita, sub anthesi jam marcescentia, rudimenta majoris 4 cm longa, 4.5 cm lata, coriacea, scapus cum inflorescentia brevi 24 cm altus, vaginis imbricantibus, membranaceis, acutis, satis amplis, 2.5 ad 3 cm longis vestitus, racemus pluriflorus (circ. 10) satis densus, circ. 5 cm longus, bracteae non reclinatae, late oblongae, acutae, membranaceae quam ovaria longiores, 8.5 mm longae, 5 mm latae, pulchre venosae, ovaria circ. 8 m m longa, 2.5 mm crassa. Labellum ample cucullatum, apice leviter reflexum, manifeste denticulatum, sepala oblonga, obtuse acutata, 3-nervia, 7 mm longa, 4 mm lata. Petala ligulata, aequilonga, obtusa. Labellum margine denticulatum, calcaria filiformia, leviter curvata, attenuata, 3 cm longa v. paululum longiora. Stigma magnum, suborbiculare, non emarginatum, rostellum late oblongum, antice obtusum, antherae magnae, pollinia non vidi. Flores albi, suaveolentes.

Plants (170-) 230-480 (-570) mm tall; leaves 2, adpressed to the ground, broadly ovate-elliptic, obtuse, 20-120 mm long, with abrupt transition to the sheaths above; sheaths dry and membranous. Inflorescences (5-) 8-22 (-29)-flowered; bracts dry and membranous, gradually becoming deflexed, 1.3-1.9 times the length of the 9-18 mm long ovary. Flowers pale to deep pink, rarely almost white. Sepals and petals: 'At fused to lip, then forming a loose tube; sepals 9-11 mm long; petals oblong, acute, lacerate. Lip with terminal 3 mm high, serrulate flap; spurs (19-) 21-27 (-29) mm long. Stigma quadrate to slightly broader distally; rostellum 3-4 mm long, structure rather variable.

Inflorescence lax, 8-29-flowered; bracts dry and membranous, gradually becoming deflexed. Flowers pale to deep pink, sepals and petals 1/4 fused to lip, then forming loose tube. Sepals 9-11 mm long. Petals oblong acute lacerate. Lip with terminal serrulate flap; spur 21-27 mm long. Flowering time Sept.-Nov.
