Stem erect, slender, with 2 leaves towards the base and several sheaths.. Leaves altogether 5–8, the lowermost 1–2 sheath-like, short, the middle 2 spreading, elliptical to lanceolate, acute, up to 2.5–13 cm. long and 1–4.5 cm. broad, the upper ones adpressed, sheath-like, lanceolate, acute, the largest 2.5–6.5 cm. long, 7–17 mm. broad.. Inflorescence cylindrical, 5–14 cm. long, 1–2 cm. in diameter, loosely to rather densely 6-to many-flowered; bracts reflexed, broadly lanceolate, 5–15 (–20) mm. long.. Intermediate sepal oblanceolate-oblong, rounded, ± 3 mm. long and 0.5 mm. broad; laterals obliquely elliptical-oblanceolate, obtuse, 3–4 mm. long, scarcely 1 mm. broad.. Petals as intermediate sepal but smaller; all tepals ± ciliolate at apex.. Lip fleshy, ellipsoid and hooded, the apex very shortly recurved, 4–5 mm. long.. Spurs parallel to the ovary, slender, 3.5–5 mm. long.. Column curved, ± 3 mm. high; stigma erect, transversely oblong, ± retuse, 1–5 mm. high and 2 mm. broad, rostellum 3-lobed, middle lobe much longer than the triangular side lobes, broadly shovel-shaped from a narrow base.
