Characteristics

Plants stout, (180-) 240-300 (-370) mm tall; leaves 1-2, adpressed to the ground, broadly ovate to orbicular, 30-90 mm long. Inflorescences moderately dense, 3-12-flowered; bracts becoming fully deflexed at anthesis, 2.2-2.7 times the length of the 9-14 mm long, winged to deeply ridged, ovary. Flowers pink, petals ivory with purple speckles along the midvein and lip with dark pink speckles inside. Sepals and petals: basal 1/4 united with the lip then decurved, sepals more so, narrowly oblong, 14-16 mm long, petals prominently papillose to lacerate, crisped, obtuse. Lip spurs absent to vestigial, up to 2 mm long. Anther loculi linked by a broad connective; viscidia of the pollinia united, discoid; stigma flap semi-orbicular, 2 mm long; rostellum 1 mm long, apex tridentate.
