Characteristics

Plants robustly leafy, (110-) 200-440 (-560) mm tall; leaves 2-6, cauline, ovate to narrowly ovate, 40-240 mm long. Inflorescences moderately dense, (2-) 7-23 (-41)-flowered; bracts ovate-acute and strongly deflexed near their bases at anthesis, 1.3-2.6 times the length of the 9-13 mm long ovary. Flowers pale green and yellowish, with slight to deep tinges of dull purple-brown on outer distal surfaces. Sepals deflexed; median seªpal 3-7 mm long; lateral sepals slightly longer. Petals slightly more than half the length of the latªeral sepals, less deflexed; mentum at sepal bases c. 3 mm long, fused to form a short tube with the lip. Lip spurs 13-18 mm long. Stigma flap oblong to oblong-obovate, 5 mm long; rostellum unlobed.
