Characteristics

Plants slender, erect, (40-) 80-150 (-310) mm tall; leaves basal, 1-2, broadly ovate, spreading, 7-60 mm long. Inflorescences mostly elongate and many-flowered; bracts narrowly ovate, acuminate, 2-4 times the length of the 4-7 mm long ovary. Flowers greenish to yellowish white with deep red lines inside the lip. Sepals 1-4 mm long; median projecting forward with its margins deflexed; laterals spreading widely from the side of the lip entrance. Petals narrowly lanceolate, projecting forward, about as long as the median sepal. Lip forming a shallow hood over the gynostemium; spurs variable, saccate to clavate and curved, 0.3-2.7 mm long. Each pollinium with a discoid vis-cidium; stigma flap pulvinate, transversely obªovate, c. 0.5 mm long; rostellum arms c. 0.3 mm long, spreading.
