Characteristics

Plants 160-400 mm tall; leaves 2-6, cauline, spreading to partly erect, linear-lanceolate, 30-90 mm long. Inflorescences rather dense, 10-40-flowered; bracts fully deflexed, mostly shorter than the 7-9 mm long, slender ovary. Flowers white to pale pink with dark purple spots inside the lip and spur and on the petal bases, outer surface of the spur pale green. Sepals 5-7 mm long, obtuse, spreading; median oblanceolate; laterals obliquely oblong. Petals similar to sepals. Lip galea very shallow, with elongate ascending, acute tip; spurs conical, obtuse, 5-6 mm long, straight, facing backwards. Gynostemium c. 6 mm long, sticking out of lip galea; anther thecae 4 mm long; pollinia 2, with solitary viscidium; stigma a 3-lobed pad on the front side of the gynostemium in the upper portion; rostellum unlobed.
