Characteristics

Plants slender, erect, (50-) 70-90 (-150) mm tall, viscous on most surfaces except flowers, usually retaining soil particles on them; leaves basal, 1-2, spreading, broadly ovate, up to 21 mm long. Inflorescences short, 1-8-flowered; bracts broadly rhomboid to ovate, erect, 1-2 times the length of the 6-7 mm long ovary. Flowers dull yellow to greenish white, with dark purple, striped markings. Sepals ovate, 4-6 mm long. Petals narrower and more acute, subequal. Lip curved but not hooded over the gynostemium, 5-8 mm long; spurs rounded to subcorneal, 2 mm long. Each pollinium with an oval viscidium; stigma flap rotund, curved over the rostellum, sides reflexed; rostellum deltate, deflexed over the anther loculi, c. 1 mm long, with 2 short and wide, spreading arms.
