Characteristics

Procumbent to ascending subshrub up to c. 1 m. tall; branches spreading, clad in long silky hairs; branchlets slightly zigzag, hairs long, ± appressed. Lvs on pilose flattened petioles up to c. 2 cm. long, axils villous. Lamina silky-hairy, somewhat obliquely lanceolate-oblong to obovate and cuneately narrowed to base; 2-4-(8) × 1-2-(3) cm. long, acute, serrate-dentate on upper part of margins. Fls c. 2 cm. long, fragrant, us. solitary, subsessile. Calyx cupular, indistinctly lobed. Corolla white with yellow throat; tube short, villous; lobes narrow-oblong, mucronate. Stamens < tube; style pilose; pollen-cup with fimbriate margins. Drupe ovoid to subglobose, white, 10-10·5 × 8-10·5 mm.; seeds compressed, c. 3 mm. long.
