Characteristics

Decumbent to prostrate shrub, pubescent; stems to 40 cm long. Leaves sessile, narrowly oblanceolate, entire, thick; lamina 5-20 mm long, 1-4 mm wide; axillary hairs conspicuous, woolly. Flowers in axillary racemes to 10 mm long; bracts leafy; bracteoles lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, sometimes ±obscured by axillary wool. Sepals c. 0.5 mm long, almost free. Corolla 7-11 mm long, with hairs not appressed outside, pubescent in throat, white or cream with greenish or brownish lines; barbulae prominent, papillate apically; wings to 0.5 mm wide. Ovary 1-locular except basally; indusium 1-1.5 mm long, glabrous or sparsely hairy basally. Fruit obovoid, 2-4 mm long, ±tuberculate, ±ribbed, almost glabrous, 1-seeded.
