Spreading shrub to 1.5 m tall, slightly viscid when young; hairs scattered, substellate, scurfy. Leaves shortly petiolate, acute, elliptic to oblong, entire or few-toothed, thick; lamina 17-40 mm long, 1-12 mm wide. Flowers in cymes or solitary in leaf axils; peduncle to 5 mm long; bracteoles linear, 5-8 mm long. Sepals united in a tube, c. 1 mm long. Corolla 13-16 mm long, glabrous or sparsely scurfy-glandular-hairy outside, bearded inside, white; barbulae prominent, numerous, papillate apically; wings sinuate, c. 1 mm wide. Indusium 1 mm long, nearly glabrous except lips. Fruit cylindroid, c. 3 mm long, rugose, glabrous, green.
