Characteristics

Ascending perennial to 20 cm tall, with small, appressed hairs; stems striate, tortuous. Basal leaves linear-obovate, recurved, usually entire, with lamina 15-35 mm long, 2-3 mm wide; cauline leaves linear-ovate, with lamina 2-6 mm long. Flowers in racemes or thyrses to 10 cm long; bracts leafy; peduncle to 30 mm long; bracteoles ovate, c. 2 mm long. Sepals narrowly ovate, c. 1.5 mm long, free almost to base, silky hairy. Corolla 10-14 mm long, with fine, appressed hairs outside, bearded inside, colour unknown; barbulae simple; wings to 7 mm wide. Indusium 2 mm wide, white beard ±equalling lips. Fruit not seen; ovary with dense, white hairs at 90°.
