Seeds few, surrounded by a thin red or orange pulpy aril, obliquely ellipsoid, with a deep groove to 1/2 their width at the hilar side and shallowly grooved at the other sides, minutely rugose; endosperm copious, starchy, white, ruminate, surrounding the spathulate embryo.
Stamens included or nearly so; anthers sessile, narrowly triangular, acute at the apex, sagittate at the base, glabrous or sometimes papillose, introrse, with upper two-thirds fertile.
Pistil glabrous or nearly so; ovary subglobose, composed of 2 free carpels; disk adnate to the ovary for ± 7/10 of its height; clavuncula cylindrical; stigma minute, 2-lobed.
Corolla with tube yellow and limb creamy to yellow; tube slightly shorter to much longer than the calyx; lobes in the bud overlapping to the right, spreading.
