Planta 6 cm. alta; rami, cum ramulis 2-foliatis, conferti; folia fere erecta, lateraliter visa acuta vel acuminata, apice interdum valde obliqua, supra plana, acute carinata, carina eccentrica, latere altero convexo, altero piano, levia glauco-viridia, carina marginibusque linea sordide rubra notatis, ad 5.3 cm. longa, 5 mm. lata, ad 8 mm. diam.; flores solitarii diurni, 3.2 cm. diam.; pedunculus 1.5 cm. longus; receptaculum globose turbinatum, apice 9 mm. diam.; sepala 5, inaequilonga, 0.6-1 cm. longa, acuminata, carina cum marginibus rubro-lineata; petala 3-seriata densa, obtusa vel emarginata, inferne conspicue attenuata, lutea 1-2 cm. longa, vix ad 2.5 mm. lata; stamina ad 8 mm. longa, filamentis pallidis, antheris luteis; discus crenulatus; ovarium supra subconico-elevatum per 2 mm.; stigmata 5, gracilia acuminata, 8 mm. longa, stamina bene superantia; capsula subconica, ad 9 mm., expansa 1.4 cm., diam., alis valvas aequantibus, alis loculi subnullis.
