Characteristics

Succulent shrub, up to 300 mm tall, 1 m wide, with stout, erect or spreading stems. Leaves crowded, shortly connate to opposite ones at base, incurved, erect, 3-angled to cylindrical, 16-50 mm long, 5-8 mm diam. Flowers in a much-branched inflorescence, yellow, salmon or pale pink; filamentous staminodes few and conically arranged with stamens. Fruit 5-locular, without closing bodies.
