Young parts with a dense creamy white indumentum of short stellate and dendritic hairs, becoming sparse on adult stems, leaves and corollas. Leaves opposite; lamina narrowly elliptic, 4-6 by 1.5-2.4 cm, attenuate at the base to an obscure winged petiole 3-4 mm long, often infolded along the midrib, obtuse or shortly rounded at the apex; venation obscure except for the midrib and a few major laterals visible on both sides.
