Herbs dwarf perennials. Rhizomes woody, ca. 0.6 cm in diam., much branched. Stems purplish, numerous, white pubescent. Petiole 1.5-2 mm, densely white pubescent; leaf blade ± purplish abaxially, subcircular to ovate-orbicular, 69 × 6-7 mm, herbaceous, corrugate, densely white pubescent, yellowish glandular, base broadly cuneate to rounded, margin crenate, apex obtuse. Bracteoles needlelike. Flowers solitary, axillary, ca. 2.2 cm. Pedicel ca. 1 mm, pubescent, 2-bracteolate at middle. Calyx ca. 4.5 mm, white pubescent outside, slightly saccate at ca. middle of upper lip, dilated, to 6 mm after anthesis. Corolla rose, yellow pubescent outside; tube suberect, base ca. 1.5 mm wide, gradually dilated to 4 mm wide at throat; upper lip to 6 mm wide, apex emarginate; middle lobe of lower lip nearly semicircular, to 9 mm wide, apex emarginate; lateral lobes ovate, ca. 2.5 mm wide, adnate to upper lip.
