Rosulate, perennial herb, 0.08-0.22 m high; flowering stems elongate, procumbent, erect. Leaves 35 x 28 mm, distant leaves smaller, suborbicular or ovate. Flowers in few-to many-flowered cymes. Calyx: segments 5, lanceolate, keeled or with thick keel wing. Corolla yellow; tube 4.5-8.0 mm long, clawed. Stamens inserted in or just below corolla sinuses; anthers with apical glands and 2 basal glands, or 2 red, basal gland dots. Style with or without swelling below middle; stigma clavate or capitate, bilobed. Fruit a capsule.

Leaves densely crowded in lower half; blade suborbicular to obovate-elliptic, up to 35 x 28 mm, upper leaves smaller. Flowers: in few-to several-flowered cymes in a lax corymb; filaments 0.30-1.75 mm long, inserted in or just below corolla sinuses; anthers with apical glands pale yellow; style with swelling below middle or without; corolla with tube 4.5-8.0 mm long, yellow; Nov.-Jan.
