Characteristics

Leaves coriaceous, with sparse to dense indumentum when young; petiole 28–31 mm long; lamina elliptic, to 15 cm long, to 10 cm wide, caudate, mucronate; secondary veins 6 each side of midrib, prominently raised beneath; colleters 30–40. Inflorescence of many fascicles. Flowers c. 2 mm long, 9–10 mm wide; pedicels c. 11 mm long. Sepals lanceolate-ovate, c. 2 mm long. Corolla rotate, cream; lobes reflexed, lanceolate, 8–11 mm long, c. 1.2 mm wide. Staminal corona c. 0.8 mm long, c. 1.2 mm diam.; lobes erect, recurved, linear, c. 0.8 mm long, 0.3 mm wide. Staminal column c. 1 mm long. Follicles and seeds not seen.
